Control Center: A Complete Guide
Control Center is your daily starting point for quality work. Learn what it shows, how to move between tabs, and where each summary leads.
Open Control CenterWhat is Control Center?
Control Center is the authenticated workspace you land on to start your day. It replaces the older Dashboard as the primary home for daily quality work, bringing together summaries, live operational data, and quick access to every tool in one place.
- A daily summary of what needs your attention, generated for your role
- A single queue of work items so you always know what to do next
- Summary tabs for Customer Returns, Quality Events, 5S, Downtime, Cost of Quality, Quality Evidence, Audit, and more
- Quick links from each summary into the full, detailed workflow when you need to do more
Getting there and choosing a workspace
- Sign in and open Control Center at /lite/control-center. Authentication is required.
- Control Center loads data for your active company workspace, shown as a chip near the top of the page. If you belong to more than one account, switch workspaces from there.
- If no active workspace is available, you will be guided to onboarding instead of an empty page. This is a setup step, not an error.
Understanding the page shell
Before looking at each tab, it helps to know what the surrounding page can show.
- Hero area
- Shows your active workspace and a New Task action for creating work items quickly.
- Banners
- Onboarding, first-item/habit, and Profit Discovery banners may appear above the tabs depending on your account state.
- Tab strip
- Daily Brief, Work Queue, Customer Returns, Quality Events, 5S System, Downtime Tracking, Cost of Quality, Quality Evidence, Audit, Learn, and Reports. Daily Brief is selected by default.
- Preview badges
- Some tabs, such as Quality Events and Learn, are feature-gated and may show a Preview badge or may not appear at all depending on your account configuration.
- Loading and partial-data states
- Each tab can independently show loading, empty, partial-data, or error states while still rendering the rest of the page.
1 Start with Daily Brief
Daily Brief is a generated summary written for your role. It is an orientation aid, not a replacement for the underlying records.
- Choose a persona: Quality Manager, Plant Manager, or Owner/General Manager.
- Select a language, then generate or regenerate the brief.
- Copy the brief to share it, or follow its recommendations into the underlying work.

2 Work the Work Queue
Work Queue is the primary operating loop: it lists what needs to be done today, by whom, and how urgently.
- Team vs. My Queue
- Switch between your team's queue and your own assigned items, and between Active and Completed views.
- Signals
- Promote a signal into a task, dismiss it, filter to critical signals only, or expand/translate signal content.
- Migration notices
- If you have personal work items from before joining a company workspace, a migration notice lets you move them (and any linked reports) into the shared queue.
- Use New Task to create a work item directly from the header.
- Use the Today's Focus KPIs (overdue, due today, due this week, needs a decision) to prioritize.
- Open a work item to see its details and available actions.

- Use New Return to start a return, and the KPI cards to see open, critical/high, and overdue containment counts.
- Select a row in the open-returns table to open its full detailed workflow.

Quality Events appears when the feature is enabled for your account. It gives a summary view with quick actions and links into the full Quality Events workflow.
- Use View All, Analytics, New Event, or Import Paper Form directly from the tab.
- Select an open event in the KPI/table area to jump straight into it.

5 Check in on 5S System
The 5S System tab summarizes active areas, pending reviews, open and overdue actions, findings, and compliance.
- If you have more than one 5S system, choose which one to view, or create your first system if none exist yet.
- Use Open 5S System to go to the full workflow. Personal 5S systems and SPC checklists can be migrated into a shared workspace when prompted.

Deep links and common entry points
Control Center supports query-parameter deep links so other parts of the app, emails, and notifications can open the right tab directly.
?tab=work- Opens Control Center directly on the Work Queue tab.
?tab=quality-events- Opens Control Center directly on the Quality Events tab, if enabled for your account.
?tab=learn&path=qe-training- Opens the Learn tab focused on the Quality Events training path, if enabled.
?workItemId={"{id}"}- Opens the matching work item detail directly.
?workItemId={"{id}"}&export=docx- Opens the matching work item and requests a document export.
Troubleshooting
- I was redirected away from Control Center. What happened?
- You likely do not have an active company workspace yet. This is a setup step; follow the onboarding prompt to create or join a workspace.
- A tab I expect to see is missing. Is that a bug?
- Usually not. Quality Events and Learn are feature-gated or unavailable depending on your account configuration and training setup. Other tabs can still be visible but show setup, data, or permission states instead of content.
- Daily Brief says unavailable or rate limited. What should I do?
- Wait a short time and regenerate. This reflects a temporary service condition, not missing data.
- My Work Queue looks empty even though I know I have open items.
- Check whether you are viewing Team vs. My Queue and Active vs. Completed. Also check for a personal-artifact migration notice if you recently joined a company workspace.
- A KPI card or table on a tab looks empty. Is something broken?
- An empty summary usually reflects a genuine data, setup, or tier-limited state (for example, tracking not yet turned on) rather than a system failure. If you see an explicit error message, that indicates an access or load failure instead.
- Where do I download or share a report from a summary tab?
- Report downloads and sharing use the same shared download flow used throughout the app. Follow the link from the summary tab into the full workflow to access it.
Tips for getting the most out of Control Center
- Start each day with Daily Brief, then move to Work Queue to act on what it surfaces.
- Treat each tab as a summary. Use its link into the full workflow whenever you need to do more than review.
- If a tab is missing, check your account's feature configuration before assuming there is a problem.
- Bookmark deep links like ?tab=work to jump straight to the queue you use most.
