Every AI-assisted tool in the app follows the same pattern: it gives you a fast starting point, and you review and confirm before anything is saved.
What to Expect from AI Features
AI features across the app are designed to speed up repetitive or hard-to-start work, not to replace your judgment. Before using any AI feature, keep these expectations in mind.
- You need a signed-in account to use most AI features. Some entry points also require you to have a company account linked before AI results can be saved.
- AI output is always a draft or suggestion. Review it carefully before saving, publishing, or acting on it.
- AI features do not run automatically in the background. You choose when to trigger them, and nothing is generated without your action.
AI Form Designer
AI Form Designer builds a draft inspection form from a plain-language description, so you do not have to start from a blank form.
- What You Provide
- A short description of what you want to inspect, such as the part, process, or characteristics to check.
- What You Get
- A draft inspection form with suggested fields, tolerances, and pass/fail criteria that you can edit before saving.
- Limitations
- The generated form is a starting point only. Always review field types, tolerances, and required fields before using the form for real inspections.
Quality Advisor
Quality Advisor helps you figure out which tool to use for a quality problem you are describing, and points you to the right place to get started.
- What You Provide
- A description of the quality issue or question you have.
- What You Get
- A recommended tool or workflow (such as Quality Events, Inspection Forms, or 5S) along with a short explanation of why it fits.
- Limitations
- Quality Advisor recommends a path forward; it does not perform the analysis or investigation itself. You still complete the recommended workflow.
Quality Ask
Quality Ask answers specific questions about your quality data by analyzing the records you have access to.
- What You Provide
- A natural-language question about your quality events, inspections, or other tracked data.
- What You Get
- A written answer summarizing relevant data, with references to the underlying records where available.
- Limitations
- Answers are based only on data you have permission to see. Always confirm important figures against the source records before reporting them further.
Explainer Chat
Explainer Chat is a contextual assistant available from an "Ask" or chat icon on many pages. It answers questions about the screen you are currently on.
- What You Provide
- A question typed into the chat about the current page, feature, or workflow.
- What You Get
- A conversational answer, sometimes with links to relevant help guides or in-app actions.
- Limitations
- Explainer Chat explains how the app works; it does not make changes to your data on your behalf.
5S AI Generator
The 5S AI generator drafts checklist items for a 5S area based on a short description of the area, so you do not have to write every check item by hand.
- What You Provide
- A description of the area or workstation, such as its purpose and what "clean and organized" looks like there.
- What You Get
- A draft list of 5S checklist items you can edit, reorder, or remove before saving to the area.
- Limitations
- Generated checklist items are generic suggestions. Review them against your actual area standards before publishing the checklist to operators.
Quality Event AI Coach
The Quality Event AI coach offers guidance while you work a quality event, such as suggesting root-cause questions or next steps based on the event type and phase.
- What You Provide
- The current quality event's type, phase, and the details already entered.
- What You Get
- Suggested questions, next steps, or considerations relevant to the event's current phase.
- Limitations
- The coach offers suggestions only; it does not close the event or make disposition decisions for you.
Work Item AI Assistant
The Work Item AI assistant helps break a task down into a suggested set of steps or sub-tasks, based on a short description of the work item.
- What You Provide
- A description of the work item or task that needs to get done.
- What You Get
- A suggested set of steps or sub-tasks you can accept, edit, or discard.
- Limitations
- Suggested steps are a starting checklist, not a guarantee of completeness. Confirm the steps match your actual process before relying on them.
Tips
- AI features work best with specific input. The more detail you provide, the more useful the draft result will be.
- Nothing generated by AI is saved automatically - you always confirm before it becomes part of your records.
- If an AI feature is unavailable or fails, you can always complete the same task manually using the regular form or workflow.
